thanks for joining me and Kim for the weekly run down. It’s my birthday week and it’s a busy one! I am doing my best to keep up my workouts amid a busy week of events. Here’s a peek into my week.

Birthday Weekly Run Down

Sunday-core strength + stretch

A birthday night out with friends last night had me remembering why I do not drink more than a glass of wine. Ha. I was slow moving today for sure. We tackled our outdoor furniture and winterizing around the house. Does that count as exercise? I also got in my daily core and stretch via peloton.

Monday-Peloton cycle + core + full body strength + tread incline walk

Okay Monday let’s do this! I was feeling back to normal and ready to take on the day. My workout started with a cycle warm up followed by core and full body strength. I popped on my weighted vest and hit my treadmill for some incline walking.

Later, it was time to cheer on our Philadelphia Eagles with some Monday Night Football.

Tuesday-full body strength + hike + core + stretch

All around great workout but not much to report. When I don’t write down my day right away I cannot remember what happened! Ha!

Wednesday-pilates core + chest and back strength + tread hike

I feel like this week is flying by and I have a lot to do! My rule is to get in my workouts daily and then hit the to do list. Later, I met up with my friends again for another Mahjong lesson. I think I am finally starting to get it. How did we forget a picture?!

Thursday-power walk x 3

I met up worth one of my besties for a birthday breakfast and walk. Because I had a minor dermatology situation yesterday, I opted to skip weights today. So, I took another 2 walks throughout the day to hit my 13K steps.

Friday-birthday! Walking and running around everywhere!

My daughter and here fiancé flew in last night. Having breakfast with them, my son and my husband was the best birthday gift this girl could ask for. Later, I met up with one of my besties for another birthday walk. That night was busy with a stop by at a family event and then a birthday dinner.

Saturday-my niece’s Bat Mitzvah was this morning and the big party at night. Not sure I will get photos up in time! I’m sure we all had a blast 🙂

Busy Birthday Week around here!

Happy birthday week (and beyond)! I’m sure you’re like me and the birthday events just keep coming – we haven’t celebrated with our oldest son and his family yet nor with some of my friends. It sounds like you’ve had a lot of wonderful celebrations so far!

yes it’s a good problem to have! I’m kind of birthday celebrating done for this year. My husband’s is today!

You did have a busy week! That sounds like a perfect birthday celebration. And then a bat mitzvah as well- no wonder you can’t remember what happened this week.
I don’t play mahjong but I understand that it’s very complicated! Sounds like an interesting game though.
Oh and any time I have more than one drink in an evening, I’m thinking “I’ll regret this tomorrow.” Sigh!

Yay for a great week of celebration! I hear ya on the forgetting if the workouts aren’t written down! I keep a cheat sheet at my work desk, so I can log the info down in between work tasks, as well as note any additional “fitness-related” activities (ie, lunch walks, etc.). If I lose that paper, I’m a little lost because not everything shows on my Garmin or Peloton.

yes indeed I try to put it into the blog daily but it was a busy week!

Happy birthday! Looks like a good week and a lovely way to celebrate your birthday with your family.
I know about the wine – in recent years I don’t tolerate wine very well. I take one glass with food and that’s all. If I drink, I prefer whiskey because I know how my body handles that (plus it’s tasty!).

    • Deborah Brooks says

      11/16/2025 at 5:05 pm

Yes I definitely am more sensitive to drinking than I used to be!
