Thanks for joining me and Kim for the weekly run down. We had a quick trip to Montréal to attend a wedding this weekend. I tried to front load my strength workouts and leave the weekend open for exploring. Here is a peek into my week of fitness and travel.

Bonjour Montréal
Sunday-45 min legs and core + afternoon walk
Nothing like waking up to a gorgeous cool morning and enjoying coffee on the deck. 59 degrees yes please.I hopped back into Andy’s advanced 5 day program for this week. My legs were shaking (in a good way). I’m going to take advantage of this tracker that someone posted to keep track of my progress over the next few weeks.

Monday-power walk + chest & tri strength + stretch class
Wow was I sore this morning! I met up with a friend for a 3+ mile walk with our weighted vests. It is so funny how many women I see out walking with their vests now! I did day 2 of Andy’s program that was chest and triceps. I wil be happy not to do push ups for a few days!

Tuesday-warm up cycle + back & biceps strength + power walk
Definitely felt like a Monday and on Mondays I like to hit it hard. I started off with a warm up class on the Peloton bike followed by day 3 of Andy’s program. Back and biceps today was again challenging and rewarding. I followed that by usual power walk with my vest. Later, my body was asking for another stretch class which makes 2250 for stretching.

Wednesday-shoulders & triceps strength + power walk
Today’s strength was shoulders and triceps and it did not disappoint. Later, I met a friend for a power walk on another gorgeous day.
Thursday-45 full body + power walk
I finished the 5th day of Andy’s advanced strength program today. I’m a little sore from 5 days in a row but feeling really good at the same time. Later, I met a friend for power walkI with our vests.
Then it was time for the start of the 2025 football season! My boys were very excited over here. Go Birds!!

Friday-travel to Montréal
We flew to Montréal this morning to attend a friend’s son’s wedding. We didn’t have too much time to explore today but plan to do an extensive walking tour tomorrow.

Saturday-walk all over Montréal
We did the walking food tour that I mentioned in my Coffee Date post. So much walking and a lot of tasting. We hit 6 different places and little tastes from each one. 2 of the spots were meat places so just the hubs on those. I’m working on my IG reel of our day as I write this so hopefully it will be up soon!
We met our friends (from the wedding) for dinner and then took an evening stroll past Notre Dame Cathedral. A much smaller version than Paris but still beautiful at night even under restoration.
That wraps up another busy week! Au Revoir from Montréal!

You know I love anything French. So yes to Montreal.
Glad you enjoyed the city and of course you stayed active.
A few years ago I ran rnr Montreal
oh that would be a fun place for the RNR. It was a great city to visit
Looks like a fun getaway to Montreal! Had you been before? My sister and I considered it for our sister trip one year–I can’t remember what we chose instead.
Also–a nice week of workouts!
it was our first time crazy bc it is so close. Perfect place for a weekend away
oh I love montreal! growing up in Upstate New York it was never a far trip. glad you got to enjoy some time there especially in the summer. I love your dress for the wedding!
yes it was a fun little escape and thanks
Sounds like a fun and fabulous whirlwind trip to Montreal! Good job on getting in your weekly workouts!
definitely short but fun!
Nice week of workouts! I have been noticing a LOT of people wearing the weighted vests as well…except I keep forgetting to wear mine, LOL. I even have it parked right by my front door. Maybe I need to hang it on the door handle…
ha ha or you could sleep in it! Totally kidding! I do really like walking with it and it does up the intensity for sure
Sounds like your tour was pretty good.
I’lol have to figure out if I can fit Andy’s program into my schedule. I’d need to get up earlier!
Oh goodness you should not get up any earlier!
I have never been to Montreal but I’ve heard it’s wonderful! This makes me think back to all of yummy food I had in Paris 🙂 I love your dress. So colorful!
It does have a little European flair!
Sounds like a decent strength program! 5 days in a row sounds like a lot but it depends on how it’s planned. How fun with a food tasting tour!
59F sounds like too cool for a coffee on the deck for my taste. But ok, depends on what you’re wearing! I’m going to rock my weighted vest for shorter walks when the weather gets bad.
I think you will like the weighted vest it definitely ups the intensity
It sounds like so much fun! I’ve never been to Montreal. Nice week of workouts- that strength program sounds pretty killer.
Our first time too! Yes, a challenging strength program but I really like it
Aww, morning coffee on the deck! My favorite. I also love your pink sneakers!
And off you went traveling again – Montreal for a wedding. How fun!
yes a quick but nice trip! Morning coffee on the deck is fabulous
Sounds like an absolutely amazing time!
I see soooo many people (mostly women) in weighted vests. I want to borrow one to see what it feels like, but no on eI am that close to has one.
Since you also really love to walk, I think you would really like wearing one. They are pretty reasonably priced so not a big investment
