Thanks for joining me and Kim for the weekly run down. I’m doing the holiday hustle this busy week at the start of Hanukkah and the holiday season. Here’s a peek into my week.

Doing The Holiday Hustle Weekly Run Down

Sunday-Rest day + core + snow shoveling

We woke up to about 1.5 inches of snow but I still needed to clear the driveway so that was my cardio this morning. 2 core classes finished off my rest day which was not really a “rest day”. My son and his girlfriend came over for the Eagles game and then the first night of Hanukkah. It has been really hard for those of the jewish faith lately.

We made the traditional homemade latkes which are worth the mess! Even though my kids are not kids anymore, it is really important to us to keep up our family traditions with them when we can. We made all of his favorites and played a few games of dreidel.

Monday-Peloton walk + core + full body strength

I have no problem layering up for a cold run but a feels like of 1 degree was a no go! Treadmill walk it was followed by core and full body strength.

DC holiday parties are in full swing this week! This was our first one at the Vice President’s official Hanukkah Party. We were also able to do a tour of part of the residence at the Naval Observatory which was really special.

Tuesday-Tread walk + core x 2 + stretch

I “adopted” a family, through  local social services, to provide holiday gifts for. It was fun to buy little kid toys and clothes again and those were all dropped off today too.

The sidewalks were a little icy looking and it was still chilly so tread walk it is. I finished with 2 core classes to keep up with my streak and a nice holiday stretch. Later, we were off to another holiday party at the White House official Hanukkah Party.

Wednesday-core x 2 + full body strength + afternoon power walk + stretch

After so many days of frigid temps, it felt like spring today at 50 degrees this afternoon. I was excited to get out for a nice power walk and completing my strength workouts.

While getting a bikini wax, this guy was looking down on me. Super creative!

Thursday-core x2 + upper body strength + power walk

I took advantage of another sunny 40 degree day for a longer power walk with a friend and finished up with some upper body strength. Later, I went out to visit my parents again before starting to pack.

weekly. Run down

Friday-core x 2 + foam roll

I’m keeping up my 2  core streaks and added in a foam roll class. I intended to get another strength class in but it just didn’t happen. More packing and organizing for our trip. of course jumped onto the silly AI holiday card trend and made mine Hanukkah. I may need that jumpsuit though! Ha!

Saturday-fly to Aruba

We are back in our happy place and excited to spend time with the family. Happy holidays everyone. Wishing you a year of health, happiness, light and peace.

Nice week despite the cold weather, and what a treat with those spring-like temps on the Wednesday. Getting out after a few days of too-cold-or-icy is a great feeling. I hope that will happen for me during Christmas.
Your pink/purple party dress is stunning! And AI did a great job with that holiday card!
