Fun With Friends Weekly Run Down

thanks for joining me and Kim for the weekly run down. This week was about vacation recovery and having fun with friends. That’s what summer is all about right!? I was not too much into taking photos this week but here’s a peek into my week.

Fun With friends Weekly Run Down

Sunday-fly home

All good things must come to an end eventually. It was a long travel day home after a fabulous trip. It’s also nice to come home to your own bed.

Monday-power walk + upper body strength + hike

Hello jet lag! We forced ourselves to stay up until 10 last night and we slept until after 7 so we will call that a win. After a few cups of coffee, I was ready to get back at it on my normal routine. The best cure for jet lag is to get moving. I went out for a nice power walk before it got ungodly hot. Then, I popped in a Peloton upper body class and hike.

Tuesday-4 mile power walk + lower body strength and hike

It was a lovely 88 percent humidity this morning after a major thunderstorm last night. I met a friend for a sweaty power walk then returned home for a lower body workout and tread hike. I think I used every weight I had for this class.

Wednesday-Power walk + Pilates

Gotta love another 89% humidity day. I enjoyed a very sweaty 3 mile weighted vest walk followed by a power Pilates  class via Peloton. Later, I had lunch and coffee with my son.

Thursday-power walk + upper body strength + hike

It was another super hot triple digit feels like kind of day. I got out early enough to get my power walk done before it was too ungodly. Later, I jumped into an upper body strength + hike on the tread via Peloton.

Later, I met up with some friends for a pizza making and Italian cocktails charity event. Apparently, I did not have enough of that last week. And I managed to go 4 days without an aperol spritz 🙂

Friday-tread walk

I got in a quick tread walk before heading to the train station to pick up my favorite New Yorker-Cari! She came to hang out for the weekend. We chatted and chilled in the pool on this hot summer day. She was a willing tester for my Aperol Spritz Popsicles. Find the easy recipe here on my IG.

Saturday-morning walk to farmer’s market + barre + core + stretch

Cari and I went for a morning walk to the farmer’s market to grab some fresh yummy eats for the day. We jumped into a few Peloton classes together and then jumped into the pool. Later, Coco came over for cocktails and dinner. We had lots of fun chatting. Pool hair don’t care photo! LOL

How fun to have Cari down for the weekend!

I’m not pleased to be getting back into the humidity as I make my way east. After Friday’s ride in Illinois, Garmin said I was 15% acclimated to the heat.

I’m a huge fan of Aperol Spritz, and now I definitely need to try those popsicles.
Also… what’s in your glass at that charity event? It looks intriguing! 🍹

It was so great seeing you — and you put together a lovely mezze spread! That pizza looks amazing too.

I love strength workouts that require ALL the weights.

I hope our oppressive humidity breaks soon. It seems to be back after last night.

How fun to have Cari for the weekend, joined by Coco for cocktails 😉 (Say that three times fast, LOL) I hear ya on the humidity…it’s been in the upper 80’s/90’s percentage here. My hair looks like “pool hair” just by taking Max for a walk…
