    • Well the Holiday Season is upon us! If you are anything like me, you have already over committed to too many parties, holiday gatherings and volunteer positions. While this is certainly what the spirit of the Holiday Season is all about, it can also be quite stressful and exhausting. Often times, this extra Holiday Cheer falls into the laps of the moms in the house.
    • I am thinking we moms may just need a little extra self pampering this Holiday Season. As I was pushing my overloaded basket through Costco the other day, I noticed that many of the P&G health and beauty products I regularly use were right there next to the pharmacy. I also noticed that they were way less expensive.
    • I then got another brilliant idea! Why not do a little self gifting and give myself a bit of a #HolidayGlow? After all, we moms need to stay healthy and beautiful inside and out so we can take care of the rest of the family. I know you are with me so far.
  • Here’s my plan on how to take just a little time out of your busy Holiday Schedule and #GiftYourself a little #HolidayGlow.
    • I’ve prepared an easy #HolidayGlow basket for myself with all the goodies I found at Costco. Here’s my step by step plan to give yourself the gift of health, beauty & relaxation this month. A little bit goes a long way!
    • -Carve out an hour of uninterrupted time just for you! The hardest step but it can be done.
    • -Fill a basket will all of your favorite health & beauty products. I’ve filled mine with Pantene Advanced Care Shampoo & Conditioner, Olay Regenerist Microsculpting Cream, Olay Ultra Moisture Body Wash, Venus Swirl razor and Crest 3D White Strips.
    • -Escape (alone) to your bathroom & fill your tub with nice warm water (the Olay Body Wash makes for great bubbles)
    • -Light some candles and pop on some of your favorite tunes.
    • -Enjoy a cup of tea or a nice glass of wine.
    • -Apply the 1 hour Crest 3-D White strips and sink into your bath.
    • -Take the time to wash & condition your hair and shave your legs-aah nice.
    • -Relax and enjoy your #HolidayGlow.
    • Emerge from your mini escape feeling fresh, clean and sporting a nice #HolidayGlow. Feel just a little better inside and out. A refreshed and relaxed mom is a happy mom.

About Deborah Brooks

Hi I'm Deborah! I spend my days successfully raising a husband & 2 teens in the VA/DC area. I am a lover of all things running & fitness. As a life long vegetarian, I've always been passionate about healthy living & exercise. Looking for partners in crime, I started my own chapter of Moms Run This Town (MRTT) which has grown to over 700 members. I've met so many amazing women who inspire me daily to keep moving forward. You can usually find me running with my crew and training for the next crazy adventure they talked me into. I love to keep up to date on new running & fitness trends. I definitely choose my running gear based on color and love to express my fashion sense while exercising.
