Thanks for joining me and Kim for the weekly run down. This week seemed like it was a busy one and kind of flew by. It did end on a sweet note with my husband coming home from work travel just in time for Valentine’s Day.

Weekly Run Down
Sunday-core + Cycle with arms intervals
An easy Sunday over here. It felt good to get on the Peloton and settle into an arms and cycle interval class with Tunde. Still not able to get outside (seriously over this frigid air), I headed to the mall to get the last of some outfits and accessories for wedding related activities. I also knew this would be a great place to get in some extra steps as well.
Monday-core + full body strength +power walk
Last week I finished Rebecca’s 4 week HiLit program. With 9 weeks to go until my daughter’s wedding, I opted to jump back into Andy’s Total Strength 2. I’ve done this program previously and feel it is one of the best on the Peloton program. It will keep me on track for the next 6 weeks.
When the temps hit 30 at noon, I opted to do my walk outside. Yep, still cold out there but warmer temps are on the way.The snow is finally melting on the skylight in my gym and light is finally coming back through.
Tuesday-core + barre + power walk
It was 15 degrees warmer today and at 41 it sure felt like spring! I could not wait to get outside today for a nice poser walk. The sidewalks are still a mess but we are seeing some signs of melting. I was so happy to be outside!
Wednesday- core + full body strength + power walk
I enjoyed my full body strength class today which was more endurance based before heading out for another neighborhood power walk. Later, it was our weekly mahjong game.
Thursday-core + power walk
It was back to feeling wintery again today with wind chills in the low 20’s but I always feel better when I get outside. At least, I’m getting to wear all of my winter jackets this year! Ha! My husband got home from traveling today just in time for Valentine’s Day.
Friday-full body strength + core + power walk
I love ending the week with a strong workout! While it was a little chillier today, a nice after lunch walk always invigorates me.
My husband gifted me and early Valentine’s Day treat- this cute chocolate “pizza” was delish!
Saturday-core +stretch
Happy Valentine’s Day! A planned rest day for me with a morning core and stretch class. Later, I met a friend for a leisurely walk before heading out for date night with the hubs at one of our favorite restaurants in Georgetown.

It’s thawing here too and it is everything! I’m glad you were able to get outside. Looks like a wonderful Valentine’s Day too!
Yes it is nice to go outside with out 10 layers on!
I am so over the shabby sidewalks. I hope today’s rain clears them off. Despite warm temps there are still icy spots!
You’re going to be a smashing mother of the bride!
Thanks and yes, i am ready for the sidewalks to be clear
Way to get outside and make it happen whenever you could last week. I’m hoping the sidewalks are completely clear by the time we get home and we don’t have any more snow this winter!
You two look fabulous on your Valentine’s Day date night!
I hope those sidewalks can clear today too! Thanks we had a nice night out
I’m so glad you’re getting some warmer weather! Sidewalks will be awful before it melts properly… but at least it allows for some outdoors activity if you find a good place for it.
What a fun idea with chocolate pizza!
This week should be much better!
Nine weeks to go! As my London Marathon is 10 weeks away, I immediately knew your daughter’s wedding must be mid-April.
I love how you’re balancing strength, core, and power walks while keeping energy up for all the wedding prep.
I am sure trying!!
I love to hear all about the wedding prep! Funny about wearing all of your winter jackets this year – with all of my ski trips and being out of the house, my winter running wardrobe hasn’t seen the light of day in a looong time! Next week I have vowed to get back in action – better nutrition (eat a vegetable!), some planned workouts (hello running) and gym visits. I’ve missed a structure workout routine!
Like you, I also thrive on having a set schedule and routine
Oooh, that chocolate pizza!!! It’s so pretty, and I’m sure it was delicious.
It must feel amazing to get outside again! I remember those days from living up north, how exhilarating it feels to be outside after a stretch of terrible weather.
You and your husband are so cute together- glad your Valentine’s Day was fun!
Thanks we had a nice night out
LOVE your Valentine’s outfit!! So cute and stylish! And ooh that chocolate pizza looks delicious – what a fun idea. Was it a cookie base? Or chocolate?
