Every time the end of the month Runfessions and Confessions posts come around, I think I don’t have anything to write about. Then, I start writing and it all comes out. Please enjoy this month’s ramblings from what seems like a perpetually jet lagged me. Thanks to Marcia for hosting.

July 2025 Runfessions and Confessions
I Runfess and Confessions posts…
I consider myself pretty good with math but I have to admit, figuring out the kilograms to pounds conversions while traveling was not easy! They don’t translate exactly to the weights I was used to picking up and I felt like they were either too heavy or too light. I am sure being jet lagged did not help with the math or the workouts.

I Runfess and Confessions posts…
Speaking of jet lag, the night we got home from Italy we had quite the midnight wake up. We were both in a very deep sleep trying to get back on EST when our security system starting blaring at 2 am. I had no idea what was going on and picked up the phone when the monitoring company called to ask if we were okay. This was the first time this had happened (despite accidentally setting it off ourselves). The operator told me that our basement glass break sensor was activated. Oh that can’t be good! I had her stay on the line while we looked around in our half asleep jet lagged state. Turns out the sensor fell off the wall where it was mounted and thus, set off the alarms. Phew! Why do these things seem to always happen in the middle of the night and never during the day??

That’s about all I’ve got to Runfess and confess today! See you next week for the Ulitmate Coffee Date link up!

Yes! And why do these things always happen when you’re jetlagged on top of it all? So glad the security scare turned out to be nothing serious!
The kilogram – pounds conversion always throws me off, too. Definitely a struggle every time!
I don’t know but I was pretty freaked out! Teh KG’s to Lbs is confusing and doesn’t always work out exactly
Oh gosh that must’ve been SO scary to have that alarm go off. And yes WHY in the middle of the night? What if you were still away?? Having lived in England, I am quite used to the kgs. That said, I always tend to lift heavier when I’m in a place that uses the metric system.
It was very scary!! If we were still away I am hoping the police would have come and checked to make sure that all was good. Yes, the math is confusing and I also tend to lift heavier w KG’s as the translation is not always exact
Definitely not a fun way to be woken up – Yikes! Glad it was nothing serious.
agreed!
The kilograms conversions are confusing! I can figure out ((most)) of the kilometers-to-miles stuff these days, but the weights make ZERO sense, LOL. BTW, I’d love to have a jet lag problem, LOL! I’m glad your 2AM wake-up had a happy ending 😉
Yes not complaining about the jet lag just the jarring wake up!!
Oh, thank goodness everything is ok! I hate when the sensors fall off. At least your security company was on the ball and called you quickly.
Even though I don’t know the metric system, I think we should switch. It’s so much easier (once you learn it), and it makes so much more sense.
yes it sure does
