Maintenance Weekly Run Down

Thanks for joining Kim and Me for the weekly run down. With all the holiday madness in full force, I’m all about maintenance this week and getting in what I can. A Daily core challenge is keeping me motivated to check off some new short classes daily.

Maintenance Weekly Run Down

Sunday-power walk + core

It was still pretty chilly this morning but I was determined to get in my 3 mile power walk before heading over to my parents’ house again. We brought over lunch and did a few things around the house for them.

Monday-core + full body strength + P20 trial class

This morning was one of those days where discipline had to show up and kick in and it did. Later, I met up with a friend to check out a new (to me) class called P20. We donned some special suits equipped with full body stim. We felt little zings and muscle activation while performing core, squats, biceps curls to name a few. It was very different from anything I have ever done. Wonder if I will be sore tomorrow?!

Tuesday-power walk + core classes x 2

It was super cold and windy this morning! I ran a lot of errands this morning and it a ton done. Later, I bundled up and met a friend for a longer power walk. Once we started moving and chatting, we were glad that we did.

Wednesday-core + tread walk + full body strength

It was a busy day with a morning blood draw followed by my peloton strength workouts. Later, I had my monthly deep tissue massage which is always a treat. It was back to the 40’s which felt balmy!

Thursday-core + incline tread walk

I had intended to go out for a nice power walk but when the feel is like temps were 18 degrees, I opted for a tread hike instead. My optimal in home gym temp of 62 is much better. Later, it was another mahjong afternoon with friends.

Friday-power walk + core

I took advantage of a slightly warmer 30 degree morning for a longer weighted vest walk followed by core. I spent the rest of the afternoon running holiday errands and meeting some friends for a coffee date.

Saturday-upper body strength +core

It was a quick upper body strength + core morning before heading out to meet my girls for a holiday themed high tea. We enjoyed the “spill the tea” experience at the infamous Watergate Hotel in Washington DC. Old school elegance meets modern charm for this special experience. The perfect way to celebrate the holiday season with my friends.

That’s a wrap on this maintenance week and holiday hustle!

Sounds like a fun week! Monday and Tuesday were downright brutal so I couldn’t bring myself to walk outside either day. I’ve not heard of the P20 workouts except through you. I keep my basement gym around 62° for my workouts, too.

I had not heard of them either! Not my thing but fun to try

Those workout suits are so interesting– Did you feel a difference after the stims? I love the tea event- you look fabulous as always! also, a monthly deep tissue massage sounds amazing. i had one this week and it was so so good! i need to do it more.

Honestly don’t think the stim workouts are for me but fun to try!

That P20 workout suit really intrigues me–I get the concept, but does it really work? It’s always fun to try new things!

Your holiday tea looks lovely! What a great way to celebrate the season.

It was fun to try out that workout but don’t see me doing it again, Yes the tea was really fun

Deep tissue massage is so helpful in so many ways! We all should get them now and then if we regularly train hard.
Interesting with that P20 workout, what is the special suit for? I see it has some lights and controls!

    • Deborah Brooks says

      12/14/2025 at 1:37 pm

The suit allows the instructor to send stim signals to different parts of your body to activate different muscles. Fun to try new workouts

I guess you had the same weather I had in Chicago.

I need to find a place for regular massages. I’ve had bad experiences at hotel spas (out of town) that have made me reluctant.

That high tea looks so lovely!

That P20 class sounds interesting. We don’t have those in our area. Although I am envisioning my husband recently using our TENS unit and turning it up too high LOL. I think your experience sounds way better than that! Our basement stays around 67 degrees too. It’s a good temp.

It was fun to try the Stim suit and workout but I don’t see myself doing them on a regular basis

Oh what fun doing high tea with the girls! Go you on all those power walks (with the weighted vest). My poor vest is probably feeling quite lonely….

      12/14/2025 at 1:40 pm

I really do love the power walks with my vest. I feel like my back is a lot stronger

I am such a whimp…. it’s been in the 40’s here all week in California and I am freezing LOL you definitely know how to handle the cold.

ha you are a California girl!

    That suit is so interesting.

Tea is always so fun! You look lovely!

I love to be cooler rather than hotter, but 62 sounds like a meat locker! Right now my house is at 68 (not on purpose) and I’m trying not to put the heat on because I’m freezing!

You are a Florida girl for sure! We sleep at 66 and it’s perfect!
