thanks for joining me and Kim for the weekly run down. We are off again this week to breathe in some mountain air and enjoy some blue skies and lower humidity. Here’s a peek into my week of fitness and fun.

Mountain Air and Blue Skies

Sunday-3 mile power walk + lower body strength + hike + stretch

Cari and I went for a sweaty power walk around my hilly hood. I coaxed her into joining me for a lower body Peloton strength + tread hike class and stretch. We had a great lunch together before saying goodbye and sending her back onto the train to NYC.

Monday-power walk + upper body strength and cycle

We had a slight drop in humidity which made this morning’s power walk with a friend feel so much better. I then decided it was time to get back on the Peloton bike. I opted into the new 3 day strength + cycle split with Robin. This allowed me to keep up my focus on strength and ease back into some cycling miles.

Tuesday-lower body strength + cycle + power walk

Day 2 of the strength plus cycle split had me doing heavy lower body strength followed by a short cycle class. I then headed out for my daily power walk before heading over for a hair cut and color.

Wednesday-Peloton hike + upper body strength + core + fly to Aspen

An Abbreviated Wednesday workout before heading off to the airport to Aspen, Colorado. Hello cool mountain air and blue skies! It is just as beautiful here in the summertime albeit very different looking.

Thursday-morning walk + lots of walking…

I caught with a cousin who is in Aspen for the summer for a morning walk around the beautiful, peaceful trails. Aah that mountain air. Later, my husband was giving a speech that I attended and then more walking around town Somehow, I walked 25K steps.

Friday-hiking Maroon Bells

We had the most beautiful morning hiking at Maroon Bells. The views are right out of a post card!

that evening we embraced our western side…

Saturday-Visiting an arts and crafts show in near by Carbondale

We spent the morning walking around an arts and crafts show in Carbondale. I did a Tarot card reading (a first for me) and many things were surprisingly accurate!

We have had such a fun few days enjoying the mountain air and blue skies.

Sounds like you had a lot of fun in Vail. I do love the cool mountain air and I’m certainly missing it these last few days back in the swamp. It’s great that you’re getting back on your Peloton bike. I’m always open to meeting you for a ride if you start riding outside again.

Oh, how lovely that you were able to do that!
I absolutely love the mountains in summer – we always try to squeeze in a race or some hiking in the Swiss, French, or Italian Alps when we’re back in Zurich. So much better than melting on hot, crowded beaches or roasting in the city heat!

I want to hear what your tarot card reading was! (Or, maybe it’s a lot of personal, non-bloggable stuff). Anyway, sounds like a great getaway for you guys.
