What Day Is It? Weekly Run Down

Thanks for joining me and Kim for the weekly run down. This week was a tough weather week! After our 7-8 of snow we got a lot of ice and sleet. It felt Like Groundhog Day over here and some days I was not sure what day it was. (Yes, I do know actual Groundhog Day is tomorrow!) Updating my blog daily sure helped! Here’s a peek into my week.

What Day Is It? Weekly Run Down

Sunday-Peloton cycle + arms & light weights + Pilates express core

Today we awoke to about 7-8 inches of snow which would have been enough around here but unfortunately it was followed by lots of sleet and ice. Yeah it’s going to take a while to melt with the temps still sub freezing. Always happy to have Peloton as an option and it was fun to do Denis’ Reconnect ride and see so many instructors taking the class too.

I spent the rest of the day cleaning out more closets!

Monday-core + foam rolling + tread hike

It felt good to power walk up the tread on Rebecca’s hike. I sure needed that foam rolling session today too. I’m going to see if I can chop away some of the ice on the driveway as the sun is out for a bit.

Tuesday-Pilates core + full body strength + Treadmill walk

We are still snow and iced in over here today with temps still in the teens. I enjoyed my full body strength class and I’m so thankful for indoor options but I’m ready to get outside. It is so much harder to get my steps in. I’m looking for reasons to keep going up and down the stairs.

weekly run down

Wednesday-Pilates core and stretch

Our street was finally plowed and we are free! Well free enough to get out and do errands but the side streets are not walkable and it is still in the teens. I did a longer Pilates core class before heading out to my MahJong group. I won both games! Not sure how that happened but I’ll take it. This is a lot of fun!

Our mail delivery and amazon deliveries are back! yay! Signs of life over here.

weekly run down

Thursday-core + full body strength + tread hike

Today’s strength workout was tough in a good way with both split squats and front squats. Later, I met my sister for an afternoon coffee date. I’ve not been good with photos this week! Who am I?

Friday-hiking bootcamp + core + tread walk

I really love the format of these hiking bootcamps. It’s fun to mix up intervals between strength sections and walking on an incline. There were 2 sets of each about 8 min and it flew by. I still needed some more steps afterwards. I’m still having a hard time getting my steps in this week being stuck inside.

weekly run down

Saturday-core + barre + stretch + tread walk

I did an easy core, barre and stretch and then walked on the tread to get those steps in. I sure hope I can get back outside this week. Everything is so icy! Later, I went to do my alterations for my dress for my daughter’s wedding. We are now about 2 months away!

We went to a fun party and got to meet one of my 80’s idols! The real wonder woman is pretty amazing and was sweet enough to take a photo with me. I was totally fan girling!

weekly run down

Looks like we may make it out of the 20’s this week at some point! Are you in the deep freeze this week?

Two Wonder Women in the same room? Love that you were able to meet her. She looks great. So do you!

I feel you on this never-ending cold and snow cycle. It makes it really tough to get motivated to get outside.

It’s been brutal for us since the snow last Sunday, hasn’t it? We haven’t had temps this cold for this long in Virginia in years and I’m just not used to it – it’s been a long time since I lived in Utah and Colorado!

You look great in your fan-girl photo! Sounds like a fun time and I bet you were happy to get out and about!

My brain was a day ahead of reality halfway through the week — I really thought Wednesday was Thursday and Thursday was Friday. You got out a lot more than I did! My weekend plans got rescheduled.

Congrats on the mahjong win! Looks like a great group of ladies to play with.

    Denis’s class was really fun!

Oh wow, everyone’s stories of the frozen tundra- sounds pretty intense up there!!! You know we’re wimps down here in Florida and everyone is freaking out that it got down into the 30s last night.
Thank goodness for all the indoor options! I can see how it would be hard to get your steps in- you could do a stair workout like Kim! Anyway… I’m hoping you get a relief from your Alaska free trail this week.

Lynda Carter? Wow! How cool. Yay on the celebrity sighting 🙂 So you have not resorted to running around in circles for your step count yet? As silly as it was I really did get a lot of steps completed in a short period of time! I just signed up for the February challenge so we’ll see how it goes with all of my ski days.
    Congrats on the Mahjong win!

Ha I have done the walking in circles before and I may resort to that this week when we hit 30. Just don’t want to slip on the ice!

Yes, these frigid temps are too much! I think it’s supposed to be in the 20’s and 30’s this week…my Wednesday running friends and I were joking that we’ll be in shorts and tanks when that happens! The pic of you and Wonder Woman is amazing…you both look stunning 😉

Oh wow, so much snow and then sleet and ice must have been really hard. Good for you to have Peloton with all the options to mix up your workouts! Can’t you use the treadmill to get your steps in? On bad weather days I simply accept I can’t get all my steps in but that’s not good either. I remember one day I cleaned the house for guests coming over, and just that got me up to 9000 steps!
I hope you get some milder weather soon!

That is so cool you got to meet Wonder Woman, what a great photo of you two – and I see her doing the power pose!

We are still frozen in Philly…I can’t wait for it to end! I’m glad you were set free, it’s hard to be cooped up inside with the weather like this.

    Thanks for hosting us!
