There’s something about fall that feels like a fresh start. The air is crisp, routines are back in place after summer, and the season naturally invites reflection and renewal. Why Fall is the Perfect Time for a Fitness & Wellness Reset

(Plus 5 Easy Ideas to Try!)

adidas reset for fall

Instead of waiting until January, take advantage of fall’s steady rhythm to make small, sustainable changes that will carry you through the busy holiday season. Check out these five simple ways to refresh your routine:

  1. Move with the season – The outdoors are so inviting as the season changes. Try outdoor walks, hikes, or runs while enjoying the cooler temps and colorful scenery. Fill a backpack with some healthy snacks and head out for a hike.
  2. Reboot your meals – Fall invites cozy and healthy meals. Add nourishing fall produce like squash, apples, and leafy greens to your plate and healthy soups to your bowl.
  3. Prioritize recovery – Cooler weather is ideal for cozy stretching, yoga, or foam rolling sessions.
  4. Set mini-goals – Schedules are often more predictable. Aim for consistency, like three workouts per week or an extra glass of water daily. Reward yourself with a new fall track pants set that moves with you.
  5. Embrace mindfulness – Take 5–10 minutes to journal or practice gratitude and/or add more reading to your life.

About Deborah Brooks

Hi I'm Deborah! I spend my days successfully raising a husband & 2 teens in the VA/DC area. I am a lover of all things running & fitness. As a life long vegetarian, I've always been passionate about healthy living & exercise. Looking for partners in crime, I started my own chapter of Moms Run This Town (MRTT) which has grown to over 700 members. I've met so many amazing women who inspire me daily to keep moving forward. You can usually find me running with my crew and training for the next crazy adventure they talked me into. I love to keep up to date on new running & fitness trends. I definitely choose my running gear based on color and love to express my fashion sense while exercising.

I am still trying to get back into a routine as the summer winds down. I feel like this time of year is so busy! It will be nice when the weather cools off a bit more.
